We
met with Ms. Elizabeth this past Tuesday and she told us the situation of
Saipan Cares For Animals and the Tinian clinic. The situation of the Tinian
Clinic is horrifying and they are need of help. The place is overcrowded with
dogs and the way they put down dogs is inhumane* but they can’t do anything
about it because they have no funds. Ms. Elizabeth was trained by Humane
International to do the right to put down dogs. We as a group want to focus
more on funding for Tinian Clinic because they are in a problematic situation.
We told her our idea of selling on Cultural day to fund raise and we got it
approved already by Mr. Aguon. Ms. Elizabeth told us to revise our solicitation
letter because there were some mistakes on the names and our confusion between
the Animal Shelter (Government) and Saipan Cares for Animals (Private
non-profit organization). My next action is to send out the revised
solicitation letter once it gets approved by her.
*Ms. Elizabeth heard "rumors" about the Tinian Clinic so she will go there to check
